Video games has many good news in 2016. Our absolute favourite XCOM 2 came out on both consoles and PC at the same time the sequel is PC-only, but it’ll only stay that way until September 9.
Although as it turns out the port will be handled by The Workshop – whose only credit seems to be PlayStation Move game Sorcery – and not original developer Firaxis.
Hopefully they can make a decent job of it. Although the lack of a mouse and keyboard shouldn’t be a problem, considering how well the first game worked.
‘The incredible reception of XCOM 2 has been rewarding and humbling for the team, and we’ve known console fans have been clamouring to play the game too,’ Firaxis’ Jake Solomon. ‘As avid console players ourselves, we’re excited to work with The Workshop to bring XCOM 2 to all of our fans.’
